Krishna Bhumi Arcade, an initiative by Infinity Group in partnership with the Forest, Environment & Climate Change Department of Uttar Pradesh and Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad (BTVP) launched the plantation of 108 Panchvati clusters (540 sacred trees) across a 140-acres ecological restoration zone on Shri Bihar Panchami Panchvati Mahotsav 2025 at the historic Kumbh Poorva Vaishnav Baithak site, Vrindavan Dham.
Rooted in the company’s core philosophy of ‘seva parmo dharma’ (service is the highest duty) the plantation drive is a part of Infinity Group’s long term CSR commitment to restore, conserve, and revive the sacred ecological identity of Vrindavan, historically known for its ancient ‘van’. This event marks as one of the largest spiritual-ecological revival efforts in the Braj region.
It was held in the divine presence of 108 revered Mahant and saints who planted 108 panchvati (a cluster of 5 sacred saplings including Peepal, Banyan, Gular, Desi Aam and Paakad) chosen for their Vedic significance and high environmental value. The ceremony also witnessed community participation through the plantation of Tulsi saplings.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Arun Kumar Saxena, State Minister (Independent Charge), Forest, Environment, Forest Protection & Climate Change, Government of Uttar Pradesh and Grammy Award winner and Padma Bhushan awardee Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt (creator of the Mohan Veena) and Tantri Samrat Pandit Salil Bhatt (creator of the Satvik Veena) along with renowned Pandit Ajay Prasanna, three-time Grammy Award nominee.
While inaugurating the event, Dr. Arun Kumar Saxena, State Minister (Independent Charge), Forest, Environment, Forest Protection & Climate Change, Government of Uttar Pradesh said, “Global warming and rising temperatures demand immediate action, and reducing carbon dioxide begins with planting and protecting trees. Our Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s message, ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’, captures this beautifully, and today’s plantation drive by revered saints strengthens that national mission.”
By the time Kumbh 2031 arrives, lakhs of pilgrims will be able to enjoy the cool shade of these trees and breathe cleaner air.
While addressing the audience, Mr. Ravindra Chamaria, Chairman and Managing Director, Infinity Group, said, “Braj is not merely a region of spiritual significance, it is an ecological heritage that carries thousands of years of cultural memory. As Vrindavan Dham evolves into a global spiritual destination with unprecedented footfall and connectivity, the responsibility to protect its natural character becomes even greater.“
“The Panchvati plantation is not just a CSR effort, it is a commitment to ensure that progress never comes at the cost of the Dham’s ecological soul. At Infinity Group, we believe that development must always honor landscape, legacy, and divinity. This 140-acre green restoration is our way of safeguarding Vrindavan’s future by reviving the Vrindavan our scriptures speak of.” he added.
While speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ravee Shankar, Chief Marketing Officer, Krishna Bhumi Arcade, said, “Vrindavan is entering a decisive phase of growth. With Rs. 30,000+ crore worth of cultural and infrastructural development reshaping the Braj corridor and the upcoming Jewar Airport enhancing global connectivity, the sacred city is rapidly emerging as one of the world’s most significant spiritual destinations. With annual pilgrimage expected to rise from 2.45 crore to nearly 6 crores over the next five years, such a scale demands sustainable ecological buffers that protect the environment, support the local community, enrich the pilgrim experience and preserve the spiritual sanctity of Vrindavan.”
“Krishna Bhumi Arcade, an initiative of Infinity Group and India’s first religious and cultural product mall, is an extension of our core philosophy of seva. Local businesses will gain a global platform to showcase their offerings, while pilgrims will enjoy a standardized, hassle-free shopping experience, all at one place, under one roof.” he added.
