About the Organization
The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is a public private initiative that has collaboratively evolved through consultations with multiple constituencies including Indian and international academia, state and central governments, multi & bi-lateral agencies and civil society groups. PHFI is a response to redress the limited institutional capacity in India for strengthening training, research and policy development in the area of Public Health.
Job Description
The position will play a pivotal role in supporting the Health Department, Government of Bihar, in advancing public health initiatives through strategic coordination, documentation, data-driven decision-making, and innovation. Key responsibilities include:
- Interdepartmental Coordination: Facilitate effective collaboration between the Health Department and other relevant departments, including Medical Education, to ensure alignment and synergy in public health initiatives.
- Documentation and Communication: Prepare high-quality briefs, concept notes, reports, and presentations to support policy dialogue, program planning, and stakeholder engagement.
- Data Analytics for Decision Support: Analyze health data to generate actionable insights, support evidence-based decision-making, and monitor program performance and impact.
- Innovation and Process Improvement: Identify and propose innovative solutions to streamline workflows, enhance program efficiency, and improve service delivery across the health system.
- Capacity Building Support: Assist in organizing and managing training programs, workshops, and technical sessions aimed at strengthening public health capacity in the state.
- Technical Assistance: Provide analytical and operational support to the Health Department in implementing public health strategies and interventions.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
Essential:
- MBA, Post Graduate in Hospital Management/Health Management, Masters in Public Health
Experience:
Essential:
- Minimum five years’ experience in Healthcare / Hospital setting
Desirable:
- Experience working in multi-stakeholders setting in National or State Governments and allied Institutions.
