Job Description
To effectively lead CSR for Wabtec Corporation in India across multiple legal entities, business locations fulfilling the mandatory CSR Compliances needed as per law.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement CSR projects / initiatives aligned with Wabtec’s corporate social responsibility policy, business goals and Wabtec’s Caring for our Communities Principle.
- Identify community need, in collaboration with internal stakeholders to conceptualize impactful community development projects.
- Ensure CSR Committee / Board approval for projects in partnership with relevant internal stakeholders.
- Identify potential NGOs, perform due diligence and facilitate CSR project designing.
- Liaise with external stakeholders such as NGOs, academic institutions, community leaders, and government agencies to foster partnerships.
- Ensure compliance with legal CSR mandates under the Companies Act, 2013, other applicable laws and standards and best practices in corporate social responsibility.
- Track the CSR budget for various entities, maintain records, and report expenditures. Liaising with internal teams such as Sourcing, Finance, Legal, etc. to ensure timely CSR related payments & processes.
- Communicate CSR efforts internally to employees and externally to the public, media, and shareholders. Prepare content for social media, newsletters, and annual reports to highlight CSR achievements.
- Lead employee volunteering program across sites and offices in partnership with site level CSR Champions.
- Periodic review of project progress by calling reports, having review meetings and / or visiting project sites. Further, providing operation guidance to meet the strategic goal of the project.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelors/Masters Degree in Social Work/CSR/Sustainability/EHS with 12-15 years of experience in managing and leading the CSR function
- A strong passion for serving society and making a positive impact
- A strong understanding of CSR compliance in India
- Cross functional stakeholder management – collaborative mindset
- Individual contributor role – ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Honest and ethical with highest level of integrity
