About the Organization
The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) was established in 1936 as the Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate School of Social Work. In 1944, it was renamed as the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. The year 1964 was an important landmark in the history of the Institute, when it was declared Deemed to be a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act (UGC), 1956.
Job Description
The field coordinators will manage specific regions in which the study is being undertaken. They will be responsible for tracking ongoing field-work across selected states and tiger reserves, ensuring adequate and ethical field work. Additionally, ensuring adequate data collection and management with their respective teams.

- Ability to manage teams and follow strict deadlines.
- Proficiency in the requisite local language of the research location.
- Independent worker with strong time management skills.
- Knowledge about fieldwork or community research is preferred.
