Position Summary

SwitchON Foundation is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to support the organization’s communication and outreach initiatives. The role involves conceptualizing and designing visually appealing materials such as presentations, reports, handbooks, banners, and other communication collaterals that effectively reflect the organization’s mission and programs. The ideal candidate should possess a strong design sense, technical proficiency, and the ability to deliver high-quality work within timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Design and Layout Creation:

• Conceptualize and design visually engaging presentations (PPTs), brochures, leaflets, flipbooks, handbooks, and project reports, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with SwitchON Foundation’s branding guidelines.

Knowledge Product Development:

• Develop layouts and infographics for research reports, project reports, and other knowledge-based documents, translating complex data and insights into visually appealing and easy-to-understand formats.

Promotional Material Design:

• Create impactful visual assets such as stickers, banners, standees, and other offline or digital outreach materials to support program visibility and public engagement.

Creative Collaboration:

• Work closely with program teams, communication teams, and other stakeholders to understand design requirements and translate them into high-quality visual outputs.

Content Repurposing and Adaptation:

• Adapt existing content and templates into various formats for presentations, social media, printed materials, and reports while maintaining brand consistency.

Visual Storytelling:

• Develop innovative visual storytelling techniques to communicate program impact, insights, and organizational achievements effectively to diverse audiences.

Quality Control and Timely Delivery:

• Review and proof all design outputs for accuracy, coherence, and visual appeal; manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on deadlines without compromising quality.

Creative Problem Solving:

• Identify opportunities to improve visual communication, propose design solutions, and stay updated with the latest trends in graphic design and presentation tools.

Support Communication Strategy:

• Assist in designing materials that align with SwitchON Foundation’s communication strategies, campaigns, and outreach initiatives.

Qualifications

Mandatory:

• Proven experience in graphic design and layout creation for both print and digital media.
• Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva, MS PowerPoint & other tools.
• Ability to use AI-based design tools (e.g., generative design, image enhancement, layout assistance, and content adaptation tools) to improve speed, creativity, and visual consistency.

Education

• Graduate in any discipline (Degree or certification in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related fields required).

Language:

• English, Bengali & Hindi (Any regional language like Marathi & Oriya would be preferred)

Other Requirements:

• Strong visual communication and typography skills.
• Attention to detail and creativity.
• Ability to translate ideas into impactful visual designs.
• Open to travel as required.

Compensation

₹25,000 – ₹28,000 per month (Based on qualifications, experience, and last drawn salary)

Reporting To

• Reporting To: Communication lead

Travel Requirements

• Occasional travel based on project needs.
