Job Description
We are seeking an entrepreneurial and mission-driven Engagement Lead to support the GxD hub’s strategic engagements and partner-facing efforts. The role will focus on relationship management, program coordination, and translating insights into compelling knowledge outputs. It is ideal for a dynamic professional who thrives in cross-sectoral, fast-paced environments and is passionate about gender-equitable digital development.
Job Responsibilities
Stakeholder & Partner Engagement
- Serve as a focal point for GxD partners including government agencies, research institutions, and ecosystem collaborators.
- Facilitate effective relationship management through regular communication, clear objective setting, and alignment of expectations across diverse stakeholders.
- Support the design and execution of partnership plans, including scoping new collaborations, drafting concept notes or proposals, and tracking milestones.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure that partner inputs and feedback are integrated into strategy, research outputs, and learning agendas.
- Represent the hub in external meetings, workshops, and convenings, documenting key takeaways and ensuring timely follow-through on action items.
Strategy & Program Support
- Support work planning, implementation oversight, and internal tracking across workstreams.
- Coordinate convenings, consultations, and workshops, supporting partner outreach, content development, and execution.
- Contribute to aligning partner deliverables and research outputs with strategic learning questions and priorities.
- Support dissemination of key outputs—especially synthesis reports and knowledge products—to government counterparts and other priority audiences, ensuring materials are tailored, accessible, and actionable.
- Track partner progress, flag risks and opportunities, and support cross-grant alignment.
Documentation & Communication
- Produce and edit high-quality documentation across formats—meeting notes, briefs, decks, and internal reports—and contribute to landscape reviews, strategy documents, and other knowledge outputs tailored for diverse audiences, including government stakeholders.
- Develop and synthesise clear, compelling communication materials—including evidence summaries, insights, and program updates—to inform policy, support advocacy, and strengthen engagement with government and other key audiences.
Adaptive & Entrepreneurial Contribution
- Stay responsive to evolving priorities and work collaboratively across a small and high-performing team.
- Take ownership of emerging areas of work; proactively identify process or insight gaps and help plug them.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- Master’s degree in public policy, development, gender studies, technology, or related fields (mandatory).
- 6–10 years of relevant experience in program or stakeholder-facing roles, ideally with exposure to government, philanthropic, or digital ecosystems.
- Familiarity with themes related to gender and/or digital inclusion is preferred.
- Experience working with or supporting research and evaluation teams, with the ability to help align outputs with strategic learning questions.
- Comfort navigating ambiguous or evolving project environments, with strong ownership, adaptability, and process thinking.
- Strong documentation skills across a range of formats (e.g., policy briefs, internal notes, decks).
- Skills in data interpretation or visualisation (e.g., Excel, dashboards) are welcome but not mandatory.

- Excellent writing and communication capabilities across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to multitask and manage timelines across multiple workstreams.
- Collaborative team player with high attention to detail.
