About the Organization

PRADAN is one of India’s foremost agencies working on large-scale rural poverty alleviation. Given the deep deprivation in rural pockets, particularly among tribal and vulnerable groups, we promote sustainable livelihoods integrated with work on issues of Gender, WASH, Health & Nutrition, Climate Change, Skilling, and Governance. Founded in 1983, PRADAN has been at the forefront of innovations in rural development and has played a significant role in the design and implementation improvement of major rural development programmes. Job Responsibilities

• Coordination in planning and implementation: Planning and coordination to achieve the responsibilities assigned around district & block-level operations and ensure collaboration with women collectives, PRIs and government agencies.
• DPR Preparation and execution: Develop Detailed Project Reports(DPRs) to align with execution parameters of project goals and standards, and executing them within timeframes.
• Watershed Management Planning: Facilitate GIS based village-level watershed management planning while actively involving women collectives.
• Capacity Building: Organize training sessions and workshopsfor developing technicalskills among women collectives, and grassroot functionaries.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with relevant government departmentslike MGNREGA, Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries etc. and Gram Panchayatsto facilitate convergence works and ensure sustainable outcomes.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Technicalsupport in execution of NRM related worksin collaboration with block and district team. Track project progresssystematically and prepare periodic reports as per the needs and requirements.
• Perform any other tasks as assigned.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field relevant to the project.
• Basic understanding of GIS technology.
• A minimum of one to two years of relevant work experience isrequired.
• Proficient in Hindi and English.
• Experience in working in grassroots and leading teams.
• Ability to communicate well in meetings and public forums.
