ECOPRISM Collective Foundation is a non-profit organization incubated by the alumni of Social Work Students from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India with the objective to collectively contribute towards building healthy ecosystems that can enhance education advancement, people's livelihood, counteract climate change and stop the collapse of biodiversity. Registered under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013 with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs as Non-Profit Organization and Headquartered at Varanasi (UP), the organization focuses on climate literacy to empowers learners of all ages to make informed decisions and take individual and collective action to change society and care for the planet.

About the Project: Cultivating Curiosity through Science Education
India has seen a rise in school enrolment, but many students still struggle with learning gaps. Rote methods dominate classrooms, leaving little room for curiosity or critical thinking. This program introduces a curiosity-based pedagogy in 150 middle schools in Fatehpur district, Uttar Pradesh. The project will test the effectiveness of this pedagogy through a randomized control trial (RCT) and aims to create a scalable model for improving science education in India. The programme is being designed and supported by group of well renowned researchers from India and Abroad to understand and establish the fact that Curiosity and critical thinking are essential components of the learning process, enabling students to explore and evaluate information and ideas. Classrooms that foster curiosity and encourage critical thinking can create a more engaging and effective learning environment that promotes deeper understanding and long-term retention of knowledge
Programme Approach
Science teachers from 50 upper primary schools in Uttar Pradesh will be trained in a new teaching method designed to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and communication skills. These teachers will apply the method in their classrooms throughout the year and beyond. Additionally, in the other 50 schools, trained experts will directly deliver 10 science lessons to grades 6, 7, and 8 to increase the curiosity, critical thinking and communication skills of the students. The program's impact will be rigorously evaluated through an RCT and primary data collection, with a focus on cost-effectiveness.

About the Role
Programme Fellow being part of the Ecoprism Collective team and will work closely with teachers, headmasters and students and will be responsible for implementing in school activities in selected Government Schools of Fatehpur district of Uttar Pradesh . Programme Fellow will conduct sessions with class 6th to 8th students and will capture information, data, stories and insights from the field and will share in the form of documentation and report.
Roles and Responsibilities: Timely delivery of tasks while exhibiting hands on knowledge of job
- Program implementation:
- Ensure school level engagement and planning.
- Ensure all program related activities are being implemented at School levels, including Virtual and Physical Training Sessions.
- Work closely with the Student in the schools for being able to demonstrate student led change activities.
- Ensure implementation of School level activities in all the assigned schools
- Participate in team progress review on continuous basis, give and complete feedback loop.
- Serve as a role model at all times among school personnel to share learning and to exchange skills
- Make regular visits to schools and meeting with different stakeholders
- 2. Capacity building of HMs and Teachers as well as Hands on with the Content and Training Delivery
- Facilitate capacity building workshops for HMs, Teachers and other stakeholders as per the plan.
- Ensure Follow up, Supportive supervision, field visits in the respective schools.
- Facilitate and ensure participation of different stakeholders in the virtual and non-virtual sessions.
- Participate, Review and Give feedback on Content to be implemented.
- Be the focal point for the H.Ms in the school and keep them informed about the progress of work and plan along with them
- Participate and co- facilitate training sessions with School personnel and Community stakeholders
- Contribute in developing and customize relevant content for programme delivery.
- Contribute in designing training programme and training modules.
- Ensure you stay connected with students/Teacher/HM in your respective school.
- Be prepared with content knowledge and required training skills.
- 3. Reporting and Documentation:
● Adhere to data management plan and systems for School program and contribute effectively
● Ensure documenting and reporting of activities, case studies and best practices as per the plan
● Provide regular written and verbal reports tracking progress against the work plan and implementation schedules
● Use the appropriate M&E tools for reporting on a regular basis
● Support with the documentation of training/ meeting/ event reports
● Ensure data is updated in the database
● Support all reporting requirements such as quarter reviews, annual reviews
● Participate in team meetings, reviews and staff engagement activities
● Be available for regular line management meeting and the appraisal processes
● Ensure block level reports are prepared and shared.

● Adhere to all the finance and administrative policies of the organization
● Adhere to systems and processes as per organisation policies.
● Identify personal development needs and contribute in achieving personal development goal.
● Participating in team meetings and reviews.
Qualification and Experience:
A Graduation/Post graduation degree in science with B.Ed. and 1-2 years of work experience preferably who have worked in education sector and engaged with students directly
● Good verbal and written communication skills in Hindi/English
● Ability to capture and write reports.
● Ability to work with teachers and students.
● Candidate should be flexible, self-motivated, enthusiastic and an energetic team player
● Flexible with travel and Proficient in MS Office tools and Internet
