Location: Kandhamal & Bolangir, Odisha
Duration: 1 Year Extendable Based on Performance

Salary: 45000 Per Month +Other Benefits

1. About the Organization

AJSA is a leading non-profit organization committed to sustainable development, public health, and humanitarian assistance. AJSA is implementing the HEAL-TB Initiative to enhance tuberculosis screening, awareness, treatment adherence, and linkages to government healthcare systems in Odisha.

2. Job Summary

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring all project activities related to TB prevention, screening, treatment support, and awareness in Kandhamal & Bolangir districts. The role requires extensive fieldwork, stakeholder coordination, data monitoring, and community engagement to ensure project success.

3. Key Responsibilities

A. Project Implementation & Coordination

• Plan and execute TB awareness, screening, and referral activities in the project locations.
• Develop community engagement strategies to ensure active participation in TB control efforts.
• Work closely with government health officials, community health workers, and local NGOs to enhance service delivery.
• Coordinate with ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers, and frontline health workers to ensure TB case identification and referral.
• Ensure smooth implementation of nutrition support programs for TB patients.

B. Monitoring & Evaluation

• Maintain an up-to-date database of TB screenings, diagnosed cases, and treatment adherence.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project progress and impact.
• Conduct regular field visits for assessment and evaluation.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting to AJSA and donor as per project requirements.

C. Capacity Building & Community Engagement

• Organize training programs for health workers to enhance TB case detection and management.
• Conduct awareness sessions, workshops, and focus group discussions to educate communities on TB prevention and care.
• Mobilize community-based organizations and SHGs to support TB patients and families.

D. Stakeholder Coordination & Advocacy

• Establish partnerships with District Health Departments, TB Cells, and National TB Elimination Program (NTEP) officials.
• Advocate for improved TB services at local healthcare facilities.
• Represent AJSA in district/state-level health forums and coordination meetings.

E. Documentation & Compliance

• Prepare monthly and quarterly progress reports for internal and donor submissions.
• Ensure all project activities comply with government TB control guidelines and AJSA policies.
• Document success stories, case studies, and lessons learned for advocacy and project improvement.

4. Qualifications & Experience

• Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, Rural Development, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in public health projects, preferably in TB control, communicable diseases, or community health programs.

Skills Required:

• Strong project management and leadership skills.
• Experience in health program implementation and stakeholder coordination.
• Proficiency in data analysis and report writing.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Odia (preferred).
• Ability to work in rural and tribal communities.
