Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Master degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture with specialization in Vegetable Science/Plant Breeding and Genetics/Plant Physiology / /Plant Biotechnology /Botany/ Life Sciences or related subjects from a recognized University with 4 years/5 years of Bachelor’s degree

                            Or

• Those with 3 years bachelor’s degree must have UGC/CSIR/ICAR valid NET qualification or equivalent or Ph.D in any of the above disciplines (As per ICAR memorandum F. No. Ag. Edn.6/27/2014-HRD Agri. Edn Dated 31.07.2019)

 They are selected through a process described through any of the following :

• Scholars who are selected through National Eligibilty Tests - CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
• The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and heir agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR /ICMR, IIT, IISC,IISER etc

Two years Research Experience in Research or Academic Institutions ONLY or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services as evidenced by a certificate from an employer. Project student/trainee experience shall not be counted

 Desirable: Experience in plant tissue culture
