Job Description
WJCF is seeking a highly motivated volunteer to support the Pharmaceutical Market Intelligence Unit (PMIU). Successful candidates should have excellent communication skills, be able to function independently, be self-motivated, have the ability to thrive in challenging environments, and have a strong commitment to excellence. Job Responsibilities
- Pro-actively track and synthesise global developments in donor financing, government responses, procurement mechanisms, and regulatory changes affecting Indian pharmaceutical manufacturers.
- Support quantitative analyses using trade, procurement, and market data to assess demand shifts and supply-chain risks; contribute to data cleaning, analysis, and visualisation.
- Assist in preparing for and documenting structured conversations with pharmaceutical manufacturers and global health experts, including background research and synthesis of insights
- Contribute to the drafting of memos, briefs, and trackers that translate complex market signals into clear, actionable insights.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree with minimum 1 year of experience in relevant field or relevant coursework/ research work experience preferred.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to work with both qualitative inputs (policy documents, interviews, memos) and quantitative data (trade, procurement, and market datasets)
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with data analysis or visualisation tools (e.g., R, Stata, Python, Tableau, Power BI) is an advantage
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesise complex information into clear, structured insights
- Entrepreneurial mindset, including ability to work independently, self-motivate, and propose and implement new initiatives
- Ability to think strategically, handle ambiguity, and problem solve in a fast-paced, limited-structure, multicultural environment
