Responsibilities:
EQAS for HIV, Blood Bank and CD4 testing including data analysis and reporting
Monitor the work related to EQAS, including preparation of panels, organization of meetings of NRLs, TRG Lab Services and Technical Specification Committee.
Obtain monthly reports from NRLs and review the work done.
Coordinate and ensure timely preparation and reporting of EQAS panels of the Apex, NRLs, SRLs, ICTCs
Ensure that quarterly positive and negative samples are being sent to the supervisory lab for confirmation
Visit at least one state per quarter and review SRLs (at least two), 3 blood banks and 5
ICTCs in each state and attend at least 1 training of ICTC technician & CD4 technician per quarter
Link up & follow up for CD4 EQAS.
To make budgets and arrange for meetings of the division
To address duty to any complaints of CD4 machines by coordination with sites & BD/Part etc
To attend the workshops, prepare budgets and plans for the SRLs workshops and to ensure participation by all (by communicating through post, email, fax etc.).
To compile the status of EQAS budget release by coordinating with states.
Monitoring system for supplied equipment for laboratories.
Initiate actions & ensure act of all supervisory visits of the division.
Any other matter assigned by ADG(LS&BS), AS & Secy. & DG, NACO
Qualification and Experience:
MBBS with 1 year experience preferable in labs/BDS candidates with 3 years experience/ M.Sc (Medical Microbiology) with 3 years experience in laboratories, preference will be given if the candidate has been working in the field of HIV/AIDS
