About the Organization

The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is a public private initiative that has collaboratively evolved through consultations with multiple constituencies including Indian and international academia, state and central governments, multi & bi-lateral agencies and civil society groups. PHFI is a response to redress the limited institutional capacity in India for strengthening training, research and policy development in the area of Public Health.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for guiding and supporting the research staff in ensuring smooth implementation of research activities along with continued monitoring;
  • Developing tools and manuals for the GAP analysis and other research activities;
  • Leading and co-ordinating all research activities including pilot testing, coordinating with the software team for influenza surveillance, developing training manuals and training health personnel for vaccine implementation and community mobilization program;
  • Contributing to GAP analysis meetings with national experts and helping investigators to prepare the framework for regulatory requirement to implement the vaccine;
  • Liaison with donors, government and stakeholders;
  • Operational task, maintain data & documentation process as required;
  • Prepare reports as and when required;
  • Travel as and when required.
  • Any other task or research work, as assigned by the Supervisor/PI.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • MBBS with Master’s or PG Diploma (2 years) in public health or in relevant field”

Desirable:

  • MD in Community Medicine / Preventive and Social Medicine is desirable.

Experience

Desirable:

  • Around 2-5 years of experience leading the implementation of research surveys, training health care providers and research project management.
