About the Organization

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), under Government of India, is a stand-alone ministerial agency, responsible for formulating and implementing national policies and programs aimed at enabling the continuous development of the electronics and IT industry. MeitY’s focus areas include the development, promotion, and regulation of the electronics and IT industry in India, fostering digital governance, enabling innovation in emerging technologies and promoting cybersecurity initiatives within country.

About the Fellowship

The IndiaAI FutureSkills initiative offers fellowships to UG, PG, and PhD students from recognized institutes pursuing AI/ML or allied projects, bridging the gap between theory and practical application to ensure a skilled AI workforce.

Additional Benefit:

Any student whose paper is selected for any international conference in the field of AI with a h5 rating of more than 100 will be eligible for a one-time funding support upto INR 1.0 lac towards their travel and/or accommodation cost.

Eligibility

• UG/Bachelor’s/Dual Degree (Final Year): Must have completed at least 3 AI-related courses and have 80% marks or equivalent till last semester.
• PG (1st–3rd Semester): Must have minimum 80% in UG and at least 75% in PG (if applying in 2nd/3rd semester).
• Ph.D. (Full-time in AI): Must meet CGPA/CPI criteria, not be receiving other fellowships, and be enrolled in an IndiaAI-partner institution.

How to Apply

This is a continuous process, nominations can be submitted continuously. But only top 10 nominations per category from a single institute would be considered.
