About the Organization

About the Fellowship

The Wipro Education Fellowship Program is designed to contribute to the systemic improvement of school education in India. Started in 2015, the objective of the program is to support the creation of a significant number of early-stage educational organizations, who can contribute meaningfully and in a sustained manner to the Indian school education system.

We encourage expressions of interest from applicants who:

• Are founding, full-time, team members of early-stage organizations (preferably < 3 years old) that engage directly with the public education system or have plans of doing so
• Are working in K-12 education, preferably in FLN (Foundational Literacy and Numeracy), Education for CWD (Children with Disabilities), Nature Education, Computational Thinking/ Computer Science Education, in non-metro, rural geographies
• Have a long-term commitment to working in the specified domain and geography, and are willing to engage in educational and organizational capacity building processes throughout the fellowship period.

Fellowship stipend: 4.8 Lakhs per annum, per Fellow (up to three Fellows), for up to three years

Program features:

• Three-year long funding support for up to three founding team members
• Freedom to choose domains and geographies
• Access to a plethora of capacity building offerings on educational and organizational domains offered by experts and resource organizations, facilitated by Wipro Foundation
• Mentoring support, learning and networking opportunities with other educational CSOs within our partner network
