Date of Issue: 3rd July 2025

Project Duration: 25th July 2025 - 30th August 2025

Proposal Submission Deadline: 15th July 2025

Background

Patang is a youth-led non-profit organization based in Odisha, committed to building inclusive and equitable communities through participatory learning and youth leadership. With a strong focus on gender equity, child rights, multilingual education, and forest rights and livelihoods, Patang engages adolescents and young people, especially from rural and tribal communities, in transformative and rights-based programming.

To enhance our institutional fundraising efforts and long-term sustainability, we invite proposals from qualified consultants to develop a comprehensive Resource Mobilisation Tracker. This tool will serve as a strategic asset to help identify and track potential funding opportunities aligned with Patang’s vision and programs.

Objectives of the Assignment

The primary objectives of the assignment are:

  • To design a database of potential funders, donors, grant-making agencies, CSR initiatives, and HNIs that align with Patang’s core thematic areas and values.
  • To enable the organization to track past, current, and upcoming funding opportunities.
  • To organize relevant information about funders/donors, such as their thematic interests, application cycles, geographic focus, and past grantees, to support strategic fundraising.
  •  To improve coordination and planning for proposal submissions and donor outreach.

Scope of Work

The selected consultant will be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing a user-friendly and searchable Resource Mobilisation Tracker using a suitable platform (e.g., Excel, Notion, or similar), in consultation with the Patang team.
  • Ensuring the tracker includes the following fields:
  1. Funder name and type (e.g., foundation, bilateral, multilateral, CSR)
  2. Thematic areas of interest
  3. Core values
  4. Geographic focus
  5. Grant size and duration
  6. Eligibility criteria
  7. Application process and deadlines
  8. Contact details and past engagement notes
  9. Relevant links/resources
  10. Examples of comparable grantee organisations previously funded
  • Populating the tracker with a minimum of 75–100 relevant funders, donors, grant-making agencies, CSR initiatives, and HNIs aligned with Patang’s focus areas (youth leadership, gender equity, child rights, multilingual education, forest rights, and livelihoods).
  • Integrating filters, tags, and dashboard features to enable effective sorting, prioritization, and planning of donor engagement.
  • Collaborating with the team to create a basic user guide and provide recommendations on tracker usage and maintenance.

Expected Deliverables

  • A fully functional and user-friendly Resource Mobilisation Tracker, developed using a suitable platform (e.g., Excel, Notion), in consultation with the Patang team, and populated with a minimum of 75–100 potential funders aligned with Patang’s thematic areas.
  • A brief user guide (1 page) outlining how to navigate, filter, and periodically update the tracker for internal fundraising use.
  • A recommendation note suggesting how Patang can use the tracker to plan and prioritize donor engagement and proposal submissions.

Eligibility Criteria

Interested consultants should have:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in fundraising and resource mobilisation for national and international NGOs working in the areas of youth leadership, gender, education, child rights, or livelihoods.
  • Proven track record of successfully identifying funders and writing large proposals for national or international development organizations.
  • Experience with designing donor databases or trackers using digital tools.
  • Excellent understanding of philanthropic and CSR funding landscapes.

Proposal Submission Requirements

Interested consultants should submit:

  1. A brief profile or CV outlining relevant experience.
  2. A proposed template/sample tracker (one page only).
  3. Tentative timeline and proposed budget.

Proposals will be evaluated based on:

  • Relevance of experience and expertise (50%)
