About Bharti Airtel Foundation

The Bharti Airtel Foundation was established in 2000 as the philanthropic arm of Bharti Enterprises. Its mission is to empower underprivileged children and youth in India to realise their full potential. The Foundation focuses on providing holistic, quality education in rural areas, with a special emphasis on girls. It also collaborates with premier institutions to support higher education programs.

Since 2006, the Foundation’s flagship initiative — the Satya Bharti School Program — has been offering free, quality education to thousands of underprivileged children across 155 schools in rural India, spanning five states. Currently, over 36,000 students are enrolled in Satya Bharti Schools, with 51% of them being girls.

Beyond academics, Satya Bharti Schools emphasise holistic education through innovative activities within the school and community. These include experiential learning, project-based and activity-based approaches, art-integrated learning, story-based pedagogy, and the use of educational technology resources. Additionally, community campaigns and service initiatives help build vocational skills among students, preparing them for future employability.

The impact of quality education has been further extended through the Quality Support Program (QSP), which has transferred the learnings and best practices of the school program to over 394,000 students studying in 1,100 partnering government schools across 12 States/UTs since 2013. Most of the processes under QSP have been found to be pragmatic. The Bharti Airtel Foundation has been invited by several district and state-level education officers to scale up some of these initiatives through QSP State Partnerships.

The Foundation has recently launched a new initiative -  TheTeacherApp - one of the most innovative technology solutions for teachers and educators in the country.

In response to the Government’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, the Foundation initiated the Satya Bharti Abhiyan in 2014, which concluded in 2021. This initiative benefited over 200,000 individuals by improving sanitation conditions in districts of Punjab.

Since inception, the Foundation has positively impacted nearly 3.7 million children through its education programs.

Scope of Work -

Evaluation of Teaching Learning Materials (TLMs)

Duration: 10th October – 10^th November 2025 (One Month)

1. Background

TheTeacherApp is conducting an evaluation exercise of Teaching Learning Materials (TLMs) developed by teachers across India. The evaluation will assess the innovation, usability, and impact potential of these TLMs to identify and reward high-quality practices.

2. Objectives

• To evaluate 1000 to 2000 TLM entries (subject to change) shared by teachers on the platform.
• To ensure a fair, unbiased, and rubric-based assessment of all entries.

3. Scope of Work

The selected agency will be responsible for:

1. Evaluation Process
   • Assess TLMs weekly, based on batches shared by TheTeacherApp team.
   • Use the provided rubric to score each TLM on six criteria.
   • Share reason for rejecting TLMs in the attached format in which TLMs will be shared

   The following criteria will guide the evaluation:

Availability of Materials / Ease of Display	1–5	Accessibility of resources and clarity in presentation.
Evidence of Change	1–5	Demonstrated or potential impact on student learning outcomes.

1. Maximum Score per TLM: 30 marks

1. Deliverables
   • Weekly Evaluation Reports with scores for each TLM.
   • Final Consolidated Report including:
     • List of all evaluated TLMs with scores across criteria.
     • Rankings based on total marks.
     • Observations on common strengths and gaps in TLM design.
     • Recommendations for future teacher support and training.

4. Timeline

• Start Date: 10th October 2025
• End Date: 10^th November 2025
• Evaluation Period: Weekly batches shared, with all evaluations completed within one month.

5. Expected Output

• Evaluation of 1000 to 2000+ TLMs and support in selecting 500 best TLMs (number may vary).
• Transparent, rubric-based scoring of all entries.
• Final consolidated ranking and insights.

6. Roles & Responsibilities

• TheTeacherApp:
  • Provide TLM entries in weekly batches.
  • Share evaluation framework and clarify queries.
  • Collate final results for internal decision-making.

• Evaluation Agency:
  • Ensure timely and impartial evaluation.
  • Submit reports on schedule.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all entries.

7. Duration & Assignment Type

• Duration: One month (10^th October–10^th November 2025).
• Nature of Assignment: Short-term consultancy.
