Background

The Larsen & Toubro Public Charitable Trust (LTPCT), established in 2004 by Mr. A. M. Naik, fosters a culture of philanthropy within the organization. Employees contribute to the Trust, with the company matching these donations. LTPCT collaborates with NGOs, government agencies, and other stakeholders to maximize its impact and avoid duplicating efforts. To date, it has benefited over two million underprivileged individuals across Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu through initiatives focused on education, health, skill-building, livelihoods, and water & sanitation. LTPCT strategically targets smaller geographies, deepening its interventions to ensure sustainable, long-term results. The current initiatives in Gujarat and Maharashtra include the following:

LTPCT Vidyaa Programming Approach

LTPCT adopts a lifecycle-based approach, addressing the academic needs of children at various stages of their education—from Anganwadi centers for children aged 3-5 years, to primary school students (grades 1-5) improving their English language skills, to grades 6-8 fostering scientific curiosity, to secondary school students (grades 9-10) enhancing their science proficiency, and finally, to higher secondary students (grades 11-12) specializing in commerce and accounting skills. This holistic approach aims to nurture academic excellence across all stages, ensuring children are prepared for higher education.

Qualifications of the Vendor

The selected vendor should have proven experience in conducting impact evaluations, particularly in the thematic areas relevant to the projects. The vendor should possess strong analytical and report-writing skills and can work effectively with diverse stakeholders. The evaluation team should include experts with relevant qualifications and experience.

Submission Requirements

Interested vendors are required to submit a detailed proposal that includes the proposed methodology, work plan, and budget. The proposal should also include the CVs of the evaluation team members and examples of previous relevant work. The submission should demonstrate the vendor’s understanding of the ToR and objectives, the appropriateness of the proposed methodology, the experience and qualifications of the team, and the cost-effectiveness of the proposal.
