Job Description
We are looking for sharp-minded individuals with strong proficiency in advanced technology tools to support key workstreams for data reporting, management and utilization for effective action. Support the migration of VPD surveillance data to IHIP, develop automated dashboards and tools, and analyze performance indicators to inform program reviews and corrective actions. These positions are critical to maintaining the rigorous data quality and management standards established under NPSN and enabling IDSP to institutionalize evidence-based decision-making. Lead the development of tech-enabled tools and interventions for improvement in programmatic activities and fostering an enabling environment for sustainable adoption within existing public health systems.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of processes and systems for collection, management and review of programmatic data (automated dashboards, periodic analytical briefs etc.) and results to monitor progress and inform strategy against a developed monitoring and evaluation framework.
- Design bespoke data collection solutions to complex problems posed in resource-constrained settings.
- Support problem identification on ground and lead the evidence-based development of innovative tech-enabled solutions for adoption within existing public health systems.
- Facilitate the management of large-scale, highly sensitive data repositories and their migration across systems; identify and implement lean solutions for enabling accurate interoperability of data by curating recommendations for changes in large-scale data architecture within existing portals.
- Collaborate closely with the tech teams across government agencies, development partners and external vendors for driving timely delivery of programmatic outcomes.
- Provide strategic and analytical support to program work streams and identify high impact areas of intervention across the VPD surveillance process flow.
- Lead the design and implementation of processes and systems for collection, management and review of programmatic data and results to monitor progress and inform strategy against a developed monitoring and evaluation framework.
- Co-ordinate and monitor implementation of programmatic activities, including but not limited to, working with, and engaging with multiple ministerial nodes, state government health leadership to plan activities, monitor implementation, and review progress.
- Support problem identification on ground and support the evidence-based development of innovative tech-enabled solutions for adoption within existing public health systems.
- Identify potential risks and challenges to the implementation and roll-out of activities and implement suitable mitigation mechanisms to address identified risks.
- Build and maintain trust-based relationships with relevant government stakeholders, development partners, and other stakeholders.
- Support development of compelling presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders, such as progress narratives, update notes, donor deliverables etc.
- Synthesize and document key learnings, and support dissemination to key stakeholders through reports, briefs, presentation decks and other collaterals as needed.
- Support with other responsibilities as requested by the program leadership.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's or Postgraduate/master’s degree with minimum 2 years of work experience in fast paced environments. Experience in management and/or healthcare consulting, development sector consulting, or Big Data management and analytics, tech start-up roles
- Exceptional analytical (qualitative and quantitative) and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and a positive, solution-oriented approach
- Entrepreneurial mindset, including ability to work independently
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and nurture relationships in a diverse, challenging, limited-structure, multicultural environment
- High levels of proficiency in Python, Stata/R, Tableau/Power BI/Google Console, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Experience in Big Data management, deploying API linkages is preferred
- Ability to think strategically, handle ambiguity, and solve problems in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities and work independently
- Ability to absorb and synthesize a broad range of information, including clinical, scientific / technical information
- Willingness to travel frequently within and outside the program geography in India.
