Job Description

We are looking for Junior Procurement and Contracting Specialist for GIZ India Country Office based in New Delhi.

Job Responsibilities

• Procurement of goods and services for the GIZ Country Office programs/projects and GIZ InS according to GIZ rules and regulations
• Informing projects and programmes on time about status of contracts.
• Coordinating effectively with colleagues internally within GIZ, India and with contract Managers at Head Office, Germany.
• Maintaining contract files in DMS (e-filing) in line with GIZ’s filing rules.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree/ Diploma in business administration (specialization in Operations/Logistics/Supply Change Managment/PM/Contract Management).
• Commercial qualification in SCM, logistics, e-procurement, tendering, etc. will be preferred.
• At least 2 years’ professional experience with at least 1 year of relevant experience in a similar/comparable position
• Outstanding knowledge of purchasing, tendering, contracting.
• Knowledge of Indian Contracts Act/GFR will be an added advantage.
• Very good working knowledge of ICT technologies and professional computer applications/ software like SAP/ERP.
• Very good knowledge of the English language, additional knowledge of German language will be preferred.
• Willingness to upskill as required by the tasks to be performed as agreed with management.
