Job Description

The Circle’s fundraising team is bold, ambitious, and committed to fueling the organization’s growth. Over the past year, the team has set clear strategic priorities and built essential processes to drive impact. As The Circle enters another phase of rapid expansion, we are focused on strengthening our fundraising capacity.

The Consultant, Fundraising Operations will report to the Senior Manager, Fundraising & Operations and will play a pivotal role in ensuring the team operates with excellence.

Job Responsibilities

Systems & Processes:

• Advise and audit fundraising systems to ensure quality control and drive excellence.
• Liaise with Finance and Program teams to streamline fundraising needs.
• Develop and implement SOPs and processes to address team challenges.
• Lead implementation of a CRM for donor data management.

Finance & Documentation:

• Track and manage fundraising budgets, cash-flow projections (₹10+Cr), and program costing strategies.
• Monitor fundraising goals, funded/unfunded projects, and maintain budget tracking for programs.
• Oversee proposal, budget, MOU, compliance, and reporting documentation.

Compliance & Audit:

• Maintain the Knowledge Management System and income–expense tracker in line with CSR/statutory requirements.
• Manage donor MOU processing and coordinate programmatic/financial donor audits.

Donor Engagement & Pipeline Development:

• Coordinate donor engagement activities throughout the year.
• Research and pursue alternative funding sources (grants, retail fundraising, DIBs, SSEs, fellowships, etc.).
• Support drafting and data collation for periodic donor reports.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• 2-3+ years of relevant experience with fundraising, consulting, data analytics or related fields with external client interaction.
• Excellent project management skills, and data analysis skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Other capabilities required in this role: Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders, deep attention to detail and orientation towards ownership and initiative, and a continuous learning mindset.
