Salary Range: 10 LPA to 12.00 LPA ( Depending on previous experience and skillset)
Role Purpose
The Senior Videographer (Studio + Field Lead) owns the technical and creative execution of all filming for both studio podcast recordings and field-based storytelling. This role ensures cinematic-quality output, strong visual style, consistent production workflows, and seamless coordination across shoots.
Key Responsibilities
A. Studio & Field Videography
- Lead all video capture using multi-camera setups, lighting rigs, professional audio systems, drones, and field gear.
- Manage studio podcast recordings with clean framing, stable lighting, and crisp sound capture.
- Conduct location recces, lighting tests, equipment readiness checks, and scene staging.
B. Visual Direction & Story Support
- Design and maintain the visual language of the platform: framing, light mood, movement, pacing, and lens selection.
- Work closely with the Senior Manager — Media & Storytelling to ensure every visual choice strengthens the narrative.
- Capture b-roll, interviews, documentary-style shots, and dynamic field visuals that enhance storytelling depth.
C. Crew Leadership & Workflow Management
- Train and guide junior videographers on camera operations, shot planning, equipment handling, and on-field responsibilities.
- Ensure proper file management, backups, data transfers, and redundancy systems during and after shoots.
- Maintain organisation of equipment, gear checklists, and production logs.
Success Indicators
- High-quality, cinematic raw footage requiring minimal correction or reshoots.
- Smooth, error-free production workflows with robust backups and organized files.
- Visual consistency across episodes, documentary features, and story formats.
- Strong collaboration with the storytelling and editing teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–8 years of professional videography or production experience with hands-on studio and field work.
- Proficiency with DSLR/mirrorless cinema cameras, multi-cam setups, lighting equipment, drones, and audio systems.
- Strong understanding of visual composition, colour, lenses, camera movement, and cinematic technique.
- Ability to operate in high-pressure field environments with tight timelines.
- Experience in documentary or impact storytelling is a strong advantage.
