Job Description
The State Content and Training Associate will play a dual role of field leadership and content-training expertise to strengthen Inclusive Education initiatives at both the catchment and district levels. The position ensures effective collaboration between local institutions (schools, anganwadis, IACs), district stakeholders, and the state training team.
Job Responsibilities
- Engage with parents, local leaders, and community members to build awareness and ownership of education and inclusion.
- Lead all stakeholder-related activities in the catchment, including anganwadis, teachers, and school
- Strengthen inclusive learning practices across the catchment
- Collaborate with the training team to develop and refine child-appropriate, inclusive content. Lead capacity-building initiatives at the catchment, district, and neighbouring district levels.
- Collaborate with the training team to develop and refine child-appropriate, inclusive content. Document the progress of IAC initiatives and prepare progress reports.
- Maintain documentation of activities, trainings, and catchment-level progress.
- Complying with government regulations and compliance while ensuring strict adherence to safeguarding policies
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with families, schools, and community stakeholders.
- Empathy and sensitivity while working with children with disabilities and their families.
- Strong facilitation, training, and content development skills.
- Able to prepare reports, case studies, and records of activities.
- Networking and coordination skills to link families with schools, government schemes, and health services.
- Organisational and time-management skills to handle fieldwork, home visits, and reporting.
Knowledge
- Understanding of child psychology, inclusive education, and child safeguarding principles.
- Awareness of government entitlements, schemes, and services related to disability, inclusion, and education.
- Knowledge and willingness to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of inclusive classroom practices and training pedagogy.
- Knowledge to use MS Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Familiarity with local governance structures and school systems. Sensitivity to gender, equity, and cultural diversity within communities.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum: Graduate degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, Rural Development, or related field.
- Preferred experience: 1–3 years of experience working with children, education, disability inclusion, or social sector programs.
- Fluency in local language(s); knowledge of Hindi/English/Marathi is an advantage.
- Prior experience of working with children with disabilities and their families is desirable. Willingness to travel extensively for fieldwork, training, and local-level meetings.
