The Muthoot Group stands apart as an unique entrepreneur that celebrates an exemplary culture of social inclusion and charity in all its engagements with the community at large. Their corporate social responsibility activities carried out under the banner of Muthoot M George Foundation includes a vast array of impactful projects designed and delivered in the best traditions Muthoot Group.

 

Major CSR projects cover the areas of education, Healthcare, Sanitation, Financial Inclusion and the environment. 

 

The Muthoot Aashiyana project 

 

Through Muthoot Aashiyana Project, the company is building 200 houses for the victims of the devastating Kerala floods. The houses are being built for the families from the worst flood affected areas. The houses are built using high grade construction material and professional methods.

 

The Muthoot M George Professional Scholarship

 

The scholarship helps top performing students fulfil their dreams of a bright future by providing financial assistance for higher education. Financial aid is provided by multiple streams of education including medicine, engineering, nursing, and  commerce. Additionally, Muthoot M George Professional scholarship project also identifies deserving high school students and gives wings to their dreams for a better future.

 

The Muthoot Snehasammanam

Muthoot Snehasammanam recognises and rewards talented individuals from the fields of arts and culture and literature who are in need for financial assistance. This CSR initiative is organised as an annual event where the nominated artists are honoured and presented with their awards.

 

The Muthoot Vivahasammanan

The foundation has been extending an helping hands to the parents from underprivileged and poor families to make the marriage of their daughters possible. Moreover, support is especially provided for marriage of daughters who are widows. A large number of such marriages were facilitated across various districts of Kerala through Muthoot Vivahasammanam. This impactful project consistently draws appreciation.

 

The Muthoot Snehasancharini

The Muthoot Snehasancharini is a joint project with Rotary clubs. 101 artificial limbs of the highest quality and strength were custom-fitted for unfortunate amputees at an event organised at the Muthoot Management Academy, Kochi.  The Muthoot Group has announced its association with Wheelchair Cricket India as their title sponsors.

 

The Muthoot Snehashraya

Under ‘Muthoot Snehashraya’, the company runs a mobile laboratory designed for the prevention and early detection of kidney related illnesses, diabetes and hypertension. The mobile laboratories runs across the length and breadth of Kerala, creating awareness and promoting healthy living and most importantly, performing blood and urine tests for large numbers of people to check levels of cholesterol, creatimine, sugar, blood pressure and hepatitis B. The moving laboratory has three qualified technicians and one male nurse to administer the tests. More than 100 blood samples are drawn and processed everyday.

 

Mr. Alexander George Muthoot, Deputy Managing Director inaugurated this years skill learning program for 250 unemployed youth in association with Centrum Foundation, Faridabad. The participants were provided with 200 hours of training in different trades, making them productive and employable.

 

When the COVID19 Pandemic struck millions of Indians, the Muthoot Group rose to the occasion to fulfil its pledge of serving the needy under its food distribution and protective material distribution drive. 58869 ration  kits, 3280 packets of ready to eat food, 28100 masks, 6175 PPE Kits, 1200 water bottles, 6980 community kitchens were distributed to the affected people and frontline corona warriors.

 

They have also supported NGOs in distributing essential items to 5 lac people, ration kits to 12000 people and packaged food items to 26 lacs people. 

 

They consider the opportunity to do good through their CSR projects as a humbling privilege as the  organization grows from strength to strength, they are committed to the pledging over larger amounts of our time, resources and energy towards the betterment of the society in the best traditions of the Muthoot Group.
