The EcoResilience Workshop is one of the Śramani Institute's flagship executive learning programs that equips leaders and organizations with skills enabling them to effectively and sustainably solve the complex challenges of today using innovative problem-solving, integrated analytical systems

thinking, and regenerative approaches that simultaneously promote human and ecological wellbeing. A wide variety of audiences benefit from the EcoResilience Workshop, including

companies, government departments, CSR programs, education institutions, nonprofits, thinktanks, and multilateral organizations (www.sramani.org/workshops).

The Pañchabhūmi project is poised to establish local ecology-rooted community self-reliance, while simultaneously mitigating the climate crisis, alleviating poverty and food-energy-health insecurity,

transforming economic-legal-governance-education systems, revitalizing cultural identities, securing equity and justice, and restoring the health of biodiverse ecologies

About the Opportunity:

The Śramani Institute is seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Consultant

(Consultant) to: (a) create and expand a market in India for the EcoResilience Workshop as a service offered by the Śramani Institute to paying institutional clients; and (b) mobilize and secure

philanthropic resources, i.e., grants, funding, and donations, from a broad range of funders and donors. This is an outcome-based consulting opportunity for a professional possessing a strong institutional and philanthropic network and strong branding and marketing skills, with proven results.

 

Key responsibilities of the Consultant include:

• appropriately branding and marketing the EcoResilience Workshop to maximize visibility to potential paying institutional clients

• appropriately marketing and spreading awareness of the Pañchabhūmi project to maximize visibility to potential philanthropic funders and donors

• building relationships with senior decision-makers associated with potential paying institutional clients and philanthropic funders and donors

• supporting conversion opportunities into confirmed service contracts (for the EcoResilience Workshop) and confirmed philanthropic contributions (for the Pañchabhūmi project)

• working closely with the Śramani Institute to negotiate and finalize service contracts and philanthropic contributions

 

Desired Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who have:

• fluency in English and excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills

• demonstrated success in business development, institutional partnerships, strategic alliances, client acquisition, and philanthropic fundraising

• extensive professional networks that are relevant to this opportunity

• experience with effectively engaging senior decision-makers associated with companies, CSR departments, government, academia, nonprofit organizations, funders, high net worth individuals (HNIs), thinktanks, and multilateral organizations

• the ability to work independently and deliver measurable results efficiently

• immediate availability to work with the Śramani Institute
