Role Overview:

The Academic Head is responsible for overseeing the academic programs and maintaining high standards of teaching, learning, and curriculum development. This role ensures the academic integrity of the institution and provides leadership to faculty in implementing educational strategies, performance goals, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

1.   Academic Leadership:

• Lead the planning, development, and implementation of academic programs and curriculum.
• Ensure alignment with educational standards, institutional goals, and regulatory requirements.
• Promote innovation in teaching and learning methodologies.

2.   Faculty Management:

• Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty and academic staff.
• Organize professional development and training programs.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive academic environment.
• The Academic Head is responsible for leading and managing the entire academic content team. This includes overseeing all activities related to the designing, preparation, review, and publishing of study materials.

3.   Student Achievement:

• Monitor and improve student academic performance and outcomes.
• Oversee the implementation of student support services, including academic advising and tutoring.

4.   Quality Assurance:

• Develop and implement systems for curriculum review and academic audits.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory bodies.

5.   Strategic Planning:

• Contribute to the development of institutional strategic plans and policies.
• Prepare and manage academic budgets in coordination with administrative teams.

6.   Stakeholder Engagement:

• Act as a liaison between faculty, administration, students, and external academic bodies.
• Represent the institution at academic conferences and events.

Requirements:

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Education or a relevant field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in academic leadership.
• Strong understanding of curriculum development, assessment methods, and educational technologies.
• Proven leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to academic excellence and ethical practices.
• Experience with accreditation processes and educational compliance.
• Visionary leadership with the ability to drive change and innovation.
