About the Organization  

Swaniti Initiative is a social enterprise that is working at the intersection of climate, governance and last mile delivery. We believe that while the willingness and resources exist, there are fundamental gaps in the execution within communities that is the biggest crisis in the climate movement. Accordingly, Swaniti works with subnational governments to conduct microplanning exercises with consultations with community and key stakeholders to understand the pathways forward, provide technical assistance to subnational governments to provide support in program implementation and support in monitoring and delivery of programs.

Swaniti has been working across multiple geographies in the global south to unlock capital. Our three core metrics include unlocking public capital, ensuring last mile communities are directly benefitted and creating systemic changes in the public service systems. While we are continuing to focus on impact, it is critical to have a lead who has a deep understanding about monitoring, evaluation and learning. Our intention is to create an institutional capabilities to measure and document the scale of our impact and look at how learning can be replicated across the institution.

Job Description

Swaniti Initiative is seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to join our People's Team as an  Associate. As an Associate on the People's Team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the organization's human resources and talent management functions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our mission-driven work and make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals and communities.

Role and Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:

  • Collaborate with the HR team to identify and attract talented individuals who share our commitment to our mission.

  • Support in creating job postings, screening applicants, and coordinating interviews.

  • Participate in onboarding activities to introduce new team members to our mission and culture.

Employee Support and Engagement:

  • Assist in the development and coordination of programs and activities that promote a positive and engaging work environment.

  • Serve as a resource for employees, helping to address their questions and concerns in a supportive and compassionate manner. 3. Learning and Development:

  • Collaborate on training programs and opportunities that help our employees grow in their roles and deepen their impact on our mission.

  • Help in tracking and reporting on training and development initiatives.


HR Data and Reporting:

  • Maintain HR databases and generate reports that provide insights for our organization's decision-making.

  • Ensure our HR practices align with our mission and values.

Miscellaneous:

  • HR support as and when needed.

Requirements

Qualifications Required

  • Master's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in human resources, talent management.
  • Knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and HRIS software, preferably ZOHO.
  • Commitment to Swaniti's mission and values.
