Job Description

Brij Disa Centre for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (CDSA) at IIM Ahmedabad invites the applications for a Centre Research Fellow position in the domain of Operations Research. The research project deals with the development and application of advanced techniques to solve Integer Programming models in Logistics/Supply chains. The selected candidate will work closely with Prof. Sachin Jayaswal at IIM Ahmedabad. The applicant will be provided with the desk space and necessary computational and academic resources to support research activities.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct cutting-edge research in optimization.
• Publish research findings in high-impact journals and present results at conferences.
• Mentor graduate students and contribute to the centre’s activities.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• PhD in Operations Research, Management Science, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or closely related fields.
• Applicants who have recently submitted their thesis (currently under review) or are nearing completion of their PhD are also eligible to apply. If selected, such candidates must submit their PhD degree certificate within six months of the date of appointment.
• Strong knowledge of Integer Programming, Polyhedral theory.
• Proficiency in a programming language like C/C++.
• Experience with optimization tools like CPLEX Concert Technology/Callable Library/GUROBI, AMPL.
