About the Organization

Action for Food Production (AFPRO) is a socio-technical organization working for the upliftment of the rural poor through effective natural resource management. It works in the areas of Agriculture, Food Security, Livelihoods, Water, Sanitation, Watershed Management, Natural Resource Management and Climate Change. AFPRO is registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860 (Punjab Amendment) Act 1957 as extended to Delhi.

Job Description/Responsibilities

The position is to coordinate with multidisciplinary team effective planning, execution and monitoring of CSR and Non CSR projects and documentation. Candidate should have understanding of Government policies mainly related to rural development and Corporate Social Responsibility, liaisoning skills and formulation of new projects/programs, project management schemes and completion of task within the stipulated time period. The candidate should be a good team player with multi-tasking ability, especially in communicating with funding partners and other stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

• Work with teams and participate in conceptualizing and designing cost effective, innovative and high-quality programmes
• Ensure programmes are implemented in ways responsive to the communities and in line with AFPRO’s Strategic Plan
• Ensure field teams generate evidence that feeds into knowledge building and research publications
• Conduct periodic review of programmes and ensure mid-course corrections are promptly implemented
• To preparation of project/ technical reports, project proposal and other required project documents.
• To ensure adequate resources are generated to meet the Organisational Goal and develop new donor partnerships.
• Ensure all donor grants are well managed and reported, attaining their objectives and implemented within agreed budgets and time frames

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Post Graduate in Water Resource Development and Agriculture.
• Experience: The above position requires minimum 7-10 years of experience in development sector/NGO sectors. Should have in depth technical expertise and work experience in Agriculture and Water sector – Soil and water conservation, project planning, management, monitoring and evaluation, program management skills and fund mobilization.
