Don Bosco Tech Society, a network of more than 200 skill training centres that attempts to bridge this widening divide between those who have access to opportunities and those who are increasingly being marginalized from the ‘new economy’ jobs. Don Bosco Tech addresses this endemic problem with a market-based approach that is sensitive to the socio-economic needs of marginalized youth in the 18-35 years age group. Don Bosco Tech is an example of synchronous social action of various stakeholders, which is aimed at mainstreaming and ensuring economic security for youth who could be victimized by poverty. Don Bosco Tech Society is looking for an organized and experienced trainer to provide complete training to underprivileged youth (based on knowledge and skills with materials, instructions, and other learning resources).

Location: Naduvannur, Kozhikkode (Kerala), Diphu (Assam), Berpetta (Assam), Maligaon (Assam), Nongshilliang (Meghalaya)

Number of Positions (Per Location)- 1

Roles and Responsibilities

• Identifying prospective area/localities to demonstrate effective mobilization of beneficiaries.
• Mapping and inspecting target area to ascertain the appropriateness of reach out as per deliverables.
• Entering data into prescribed software/database.
• Conferring with project beneficiaries and trainers to ensure enrollment through due process of counselling.
• Participate in evaluation registration, dropouts and placements activities and its required areas of improvement.
• Tracking alumni and their growth process.
• Strategize effective and relevant methods of mobilization.
• Updating your expertise by employing a proactive approach to learning
• Should be open to travelling (interstate, inter district).

Required Qualification & Skills

• High school/Diploma with demonstratable field officer experience.
• Knowledge on domicile area and strong connect with local stakeholders.
• Strong counselling, relationship building negotiation, communication, decision making and analytical skills.
• Entering data into suitable software for next line of action.
• Knowledge of the task and art to execute and produce results.

Core Competencies

• Confident public speaker and a devoted educator who is up-to-date on the latest tools and resources to provide training
• Capacity building and training skills
• Fluency in English (both oral and written)
• Excellent Communication, Interpersonal skills & facilitation skills
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Must be familiar with local language
