About the Organization

The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) was established in 1936 as the Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate School of Social Work. In 1944, it was renamed as the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. The year 1964 was an important landmark in the history of the Institute, when it was declared Deemed to be a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act (UGC), 1956.

Job Description

• To assist faculty in evaluation of coursework related to disciplinary electives
• To provide supervision to the students who are going for fieldwork.
• To accompany students for field visits and coordinate the visits with field work agencies
• To review students’ reflective journals for comments and grading.
• Liaise with the agencies to facilitate student placement in field work settings for next semester.
• Any other responsibilities as suggested by Dean and faculty.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• MPhil in Clinical Psychology from RCI recognized University or PhD in Psychology with specialisation in Clinical/Counselling Psychology

                                    OR

• M.A. in Applied/Clinical/Counselling Psychology with a minimum of 2 years of experience of psychotherapy and counselling work
• Practitioners with prior experience in providing supervision and training will be preferred.

Salary

Rs. 40,000 p.m (consolidated as per TISS norms)
