Education Requirements: Post-Graduate degree in Agriculture Marketing, Post-Harvest Technology, Agri-Business Management, or Food Technology from a recognized University/Institution.

Experience Requirements: Minimum 5 years of working experience with FPOs or in organizations focused on post-harvest management, marketing, and value chain development.

Salary Package: As per industry standards

About the Organization

Samvedna Development Society (www.sdsorg.in), a new age NGO, is executing the Bharat Sanjeevani Krishi Uttan project in partnership with Bharat Financial Inclusion Limited (a 100% subsidiary of IndusInd Bank). The initiative focuses on strengthening FPOs, enabling value chain integration, and improving market access to enhance the livelihood of small and marginal farmers.

Job Description

The National Value Chain Manager will lead the post-harvest, marketing, and entrepreneurship aspects of the FPO value chain. This role involves providing guidance to state-level technical teams, building market linkages, and ensuring FPOs become economically sustainable enterprises.

Job Responsibilities

  • Guide state-level Technical Directors on post-harvest management, marketing, and entrepreneurship development.
  • Assess FPOs and their farmer members regarding value chain activities including cleaning, grading, sorting, packaging, labeling, food processing, and market linkages.
  • Facilitate the development of entrepreneurship among FPO members for improved profitability.
  • Participate in awareness and training programs for FPOs and farmers on value chain and marketing aspects.
  • Coordinate with Data Analysts and FPO Development Officers to ensure real-time and accurate data on the integrated portal.
  • Regularly report progress to the National Project Director and provide insights for program improvement.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of agri-value chains, post-harvest management, and rural marketing.
  • Proven ability to engage and mentor FPOs and rural stakeholders.
  • Experience in entrepreneurship development and market linkage creation.
  • Proficiency in project monitoring, reporting, and use of digital tools for data management.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills for multi-stakeholder engagement.
