About the Organization
Centre for Chronic Disease Control (CCDC) is a not-for-profit research organization engaged in knowledge generation and knowledge translation for the prevention and control of non-communicable (chronic) diseases in varied settings of developing countries. CCDC has been recognized as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. CCDC also holds recognition as a WHO Collaborating Centre for Surveillance, Capacity Building and Translational Research in Cardio-metabolic diseases and is an ICMR Collaborating Centre of Excellence.
Job Description
The Program Coordinator will be responsible for the overall coordination of the CMD education program to ensure smooth and effective implementation. The role involves planning, organising, and monitoring program activities, facilitation inter and intra departmental coordination and ensuring timely delivery of program objectives
- Ensure overall coordination of the program to ensure smooth implementation
- Organise various stakeholder meetings, workshops and review meetings
- Responsible for desk reviews, scoping reviews, and literature reviews for content curation.
- Coordinate the development of training content and materials
- Responsible for documentation, analytics and reporting related to the program
- Prepare and disseminate program implementation plans, and monitor progress
- Ensure the smooth inter-intra departmental coordination of the program
- Support planning, delivery, and monitoring of training activities
- Organise all the state trainings and coordinate for all stakeholder engagement meetings during theimplementation phase
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
Essential:
- 1-5 years of relevant experience
- Must possess strong skills in quantitative and qualitative research methods, including research designs,data collection and analysis.
- Ability to synthesize research findings into actionable inputs for curriculum and content development.
- Proficiency in conducting desk reviews, scoping reviews, and literature reviews.
- Excellent analytical, writing, and documentation skills.
- Strong organizational and coordination abilities to manage multiple stakeholders and activities.
- Medical or public health background (MBBS/BDS, MPH, or equivalent) to engage meaningfully in disease-specific content development
Desirable:
- Prior experience in curriculum design, training programs, module development on health/medical education
- Experience in public health programs, especially non communicable diseases (NCDs) or health systems strengthening
- Experience working with government agencies, academic institutions, and professional councils.
