ABOUT THE PROGRAM

AIF’s Livelihoods program drives a unique market-relevant approach, harnessing the power of technology, to provide knowledge, skills, and opportunities to underprivileged youth, marginalized women, and Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) to secure jobs, manage enterprises, and access dignified and sustainable livelihoods while building climate resilient communities. With a keen focus on the areas of remote jobs, ecosystem support for enhanced female labor force participation, employment, and entrepreneurship opportunities for PwDs, street vendors, and artisans around the country, AIF Livelihoods aims to lead nationwide, industry-led, collaborative skills and entrepreneur development initiatives, to meet India’s growing need for skilled workforce. Since 2006, the program has served 3.2 million underserved citizens across India

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support in connecting with candidates with Speech and Hearing Impairment using Sign Language.
• Support the training of eligible candidates offline and online.
• Assist in curriculum adoption to ensure the material is accessible.
• Preparation of sessions as per training guidelines and material applicable to the program and ensure uses of visual aids and digital tools to enhance delivery of technical courses of DA and FSWD.
• Interpret classes/ sessions/ trainings per schedule and methodology and ensure student attendance and participation in the session.
• Supporting mobilization and registration of Candidates on the inclusive job’s portal and for Job Fairs.
• Support with sign language interpretation to facilitate job interviews of the candidates and explore the relevant job opportunities for the candidates.
• Counseling students as and when required (Pre-enrollment to Post placement)
• Any other task as assigned by the line manager.

Key Skills:

• Graduate in any subject
• Proficient in sign language
• One year of experience in interpreting or teaching sign language
• Google Drive Remote Working Skills (Sheets, Docs, Forms, and Slides)
• Skilled in 21st-century employability skills training delivery
• Basic Understanding of IT concepts for FSWD and DA.
• Excellent communication skills – sign language
• A team player
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
• Great attention to detail and time-management skills
• Strong presentation skills
• Openness to students and colleagues from a range of cultures, disabilities and languages

Salary shall be commensurate with experience.
