Wishes & Blessings Organises Meal Distribution Drive Across 7 States; Celebrates Milestone of Serving 1 Crore Meals

Wishes & Blessings, a Delhi-based non-governmental organisation committed to inclusive social development, has achieved a remarkable milestone by distributing over one crore meals to underprivileged communities across India. To commemorate this achievement, the organization conducted a series of meal distribution drives on 22nd and 23rd May across multiple locations nationwide.

The drive on 22nd May commenced at the Botanical Bus Stand in Noida, continued through Munirka in Delhi and Sector 89, Hayatpur in Gurgaon. The drives were also conducted in Chennai (Tamil Nadu) and Burdwan (West Bengal). These events brought together beneficiaries, volunteers, and supporters in a collective act of solidarity and gratitude. More than just an operational success, these drives underscore the organization’s ongoing commitment to eradicating hunger and uplifting vulnerable populations.

Expanding its reach, Wishes & Blessings simultaneously conducted meal distribution drives on 23rd May in Jamshedpur (Jharkhand) and Guwahati (Assam). Through these coordinated efforts, approximately 4,000 individuals received wholesome meals, amplifying the impact of the organization’s national hunger alleviation initiative.

This milestone is particularly timely, leading up to World Hunger Day on 29th May, a day dedicated to raising awareness about food insecurity and the urgent need for sustainable hunger solutions in India.

Founded in 2014, Wishes & Blessings has developed a robust hunger relief framework that includes daily meal distributions, ration kit programs, emergency food assistance, and special feeding initiatives during festivals and national crises. The NGO’s swift and compassionate response during the COVID-19 pandemic—providing hot meals and dry rations to thousands of displaced and unemployed individuals—was widely recognized as one of the region’s most effective community-driven interventions.

Founded in 2014 by Dr. Geetanjali Chopra — an academician, researcher, columnist, and philanthropist — Wishes & Blessings serves as a bridge between donors and beneficiaries, driven by the mission of spreading happiness and fulfilling dreams.
