Project Title: Livelihood for Rural women

Location: Chinnapandur,  Racherla panchayat of Varidaypalem mandal of Thirupathi

Chinna panduru panchayathi (chinna panduru, vaddipallem, padeeri kuppam, VKRY colony, Seetharamapuram) and Racherla panchayathi (Racherla, Mopurapalli, Arundhathi vada villages) of Tirupathi district in Andhra Pradesh, India.

Aim: To create a sustainable foundation for 100 women-led rural enterprises through community mobilization by engaging men and families, enterprise readiness development, livelihood assessment, market analysis and strategic plan for future scale-up.

The proposed Women Enterprise Readiness & Livelihood Ecosystem Development Pilot Project is designed as a preparatory intervention to create a strong foundation for sustainable women-led enterprises with inclusivity in Chinnapanduru and Racherla villages of Tirupathi District of Andhra Pradesh.

Apollo Tyres Foundation has expressed interest in supporting a phased livelihood development approach in the project area. Considering that the project geography is relatively new and that long-term enterprise sustainability requires strong community ownership, market understanding and resource assessment, the proposed pilot focuses on preparing women SHGs for future enterprise development rather than directly establishing enterprises during the pilot phase.

The intervention will strengthen community institutions, assess local livelihood opportunities, analyse resource availability, study market demand, identify feasible products and develop enterprise-ready women groups. The project will facilitate discussions and interaction among inter and intra SHG members, community men meetings, financial planning, entrepreneurship development programmes, convergence with government departments and preparation of a detailed scale-up roadmap for future investment.

Scope of Work

• The consultant/organization to be hired will have the following responsibilities:
• Developing and finalizing the survey methodology and tools.
• Conduct field visits and data collection from diverse stakeholders.
• Engage with community elders, parents and government officials.
• Analyzing data and providing a comprehensive report with key findings and recommendations.

Methodology
The study will include:

• Quantitative Data Collection: Household surveys, and skilling &employment data.
• Qualitative Data Collection: Focus group discussions, key informant interviews, and case studies.
• Secondary Data Review: Reports, government policies, and statistical data.

Deliverables

The consultant/organization will be expected to deliver:

• Inception Report – Detailing methodology, tools, and work plan.
• Draft Report – Initial findings and analysis.
• Final Report –report with recommendations.
• Presentation – Summary of findings for stakeholders.

Timelines:

The study is expected to be completed within three months from the date of contract signing (August to Sept 2026).

Payment Terms:

The overall payment for the study is INR 1.5 lakh, which will be made as follows with TDS deduction as per IT Act:
30% on signing of the contract.
40% on submission of draft report.
30% on acceptance of final report.

Qualifications and Skills

The consultant/organization should possess:
Well-founded experience in carrying out large sample surveys.
Robust experience in conducting baseline studies with focus on Girl child education, health, Nutrition and livelihood.
Understand the cultural, social and root causes concerning child marriages, teenage pregnancy, and continuity of education to fulfill the aspirations of girls.
Good data analysis and report writing skills.
Experience in conduct quantitative and qualitative filed research in rural and tribal communities.
Preferential consideration will be given to individuals with prior work experience in Andhra Pradesh.
