About the Organization
We work at the intersection of data, technology, design and social science to strengthen data for public good ecosystem and citizen participation in governance. CivicDataLab harnesses the potential of open knowledge movements to strengthen the data-for-public-good ecosystem and enable citizen engagement.
We work closely with governments, not-for-profits, think-tanks, media houses and universities to enhance their data, technology and AI capacity to enhance data-driven decision-making at scale.
Job Description
A dynamic individual with 4 to 6 years of relevant experience, to amplify CivicDataLab’s communication and outreach across sectors, stakeholders and domains. We would like someone who can ensure strategic alignment with the organisation’s vision and share the same with stakeholders via regular communication, different media and convenings.
This role involves collaborating with CivicDataLab’s multidisciplinary team as well as a diverse set of stakeholders like data strategists, technologists, practitioners, designers and researchers including government agencies, funders, partners and the larger data & AI for public good community in India and beyond.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- 4-6 years of experience in communications and outreach.
- Fluency of written and spoken English.
- People skills and ability to co-ordinate a hybrid professional environment with a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong planning and organisational skills with ability to prioritise and deliver under deadlines.
- Experience in organising events like - roundtables, focus group discussions, consultations and more.
- Proficiency in working with Google-suite including but not limited to slides, docs, spreadsheet and calendar.
- Experience of working with design softwares and tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Figma or any other application for editing, designing illustrations, graphics and videos.
- Working knowledge of video editing software for producing short media clips from our work.
- Working knowledge of producing both digital and print collateral is a must.
- Comprehensive understanding of LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Canva, Wordpress, Mailchimp and other similar platforms.
- Ability to create and curate material and content for the different platforms, based on the different requirements of these platforms.
- Basic knowledge of SEO, tagging, meta-data for enhancing and tracking audience engagement.
