Job Description
WWF-India is one of the largest organisations, engaged in wildlife and nature conservation for over 50 years. We invite applications from candidates for the position of Programme Officer in our Delhi Office.
Job Profile:
Outreach and Partnership:
- Develop, launch, and oversee strategic partnerships with private schools in Delhi / NCR and across states to expand and deepen the reach of WWF-India’s environmental education programs among urban and semi-urban schools.
- Conduct intensive outreach and mobilise schools for environment education programs.
- Planning, developing and executing strategies to establish private school programme.
- Identify and building partnerships with major school chains for successful roll- out and execution of private school programme.
- Serve as the main liaison between private schools and WWF-India’s Education Team to address needs, track program impact, and coordinate communication or outreach efforts.
- Build partnerships and foster long-term relationships with principals, school management, and educator networks to ensure robust adoption and visibility of WWF-India initiatives such as Wild Wisdom Global Challenge, One Planet Academy, Eco-Trails, Model Conference of Parties and other programs.
- Stakeholders, Engagement and Coordination: Planning, coordination, and liaising with key stakeholders.
Project Management, Execution and Implementation:
- Support the team in execution and implementation of private school programme.
- Execute, deliver and monitor activities, capacity building workshops, and ongoing engagement initiatives for private school educators and students.
- Deliver educational content, activities, and events (including digital modules and classroom resources) that promote conservation awareness, sustainable practices, and student environmental leadership within private school ecosystems.
- Monitor progress and impact against programmatic targets.
- Assist in the development and delivery of advocacy events targeted at private school teachers and administrators.
Documentation, Reporting, Vendor and resource management and Logistics & Operations:
- Track, evaluate, and report on partnership outcomes, prepare project updates, case studies, and contribute to fundraising or donor engagement exercises.
- Ensure that services are delivered on time, and in compliance with the organization regulations.
Requirements
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate or Post graduate degree in Marketing, Management, Education, Social Sciences, or related field.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in education program management, partnership development, preferably with exposure to school partnerships, program implementation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to build institutional relationships, conduct orientation, and manage multi-school initiatives.
- Experience in the educational sector is desirable.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to assist in outreach and mobilise institutions for environment education programs for children and youth
- A team player who is able to work collaboratively and socialise with people of diverse backgrounds
Special Expertise / Experience:
- Proven ability to build institutional relationships, conduct training, and manage multi-school initiatives.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to assist in outreach and mobilise institutions for environment education programs for children and youth
- Ability to coordinate and manage relationships with key stakeholders like vendors, institutions, resource people etc.
- Ability to assist in conceptualising and organizing events, workshops, sessions etc.
- Ability to assist in development and execution of digital communication plans for program visibility
- A team player who is able to work collaboratively and socialise with people of diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to coordinate the conduct and evaluation of the program impact
- Fluency in written and spoken English
