Job Description
WJCF seeks a highly motivated and entrepreneurial individual for the position of Program Assistant with demonstrated abilities to support LF and VL program at NCVBDC. As a member of TSU team, he/she will support thought and action on programmatic and surveillance data of LF and VL programmes. The position will involve mechanisms to compile, validate and comprehend data through disparate data sources, improving data quality and use by national and state actors and integrating key aspects for synthesized action.
The position will report directly to the M&E Lead, TSU at NCVBDC.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with regular data collection and validation for the effective use of SCM tools both excel and DVDMS, LF IHIP, and KAMIS, while collaborating with NVBDCP to enhance data quality through consistent communication with national and state-level consultants.
- Prepare monthly reports and conduct basic analyses to encourage the use of data in program decision-making.
- Contribute to strengthening supply chain management tools and processes for the National Vector Borne Disease Control Program by generating actionable insights. Support data management training and capacity-building initiatives to improve program outcomes.
- Provide support to the LF and VL divisions in managing the e-filing process, addressing queries from the ministry, and actively engaging in meetings and workshops.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by the TSU M& E and Team lead.
- Mentoring and support LF and KA division consultants for effective transition of the data sets and transfer of skills and knowledge.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree with minimum 2-3 years of work experience.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel (Formulas, Macros/VBA), PowerPoint, Internet applications and Mobile applications.
- Previous experience managing and analysing large data sets.
- Exceptional diplomatic and interpersonal skills, and ability to build relationships, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to evaluate systems holistically and advise on effectiveness of systems or processes.
- Ability to think creatively in the face of challenges.
- Ability to work independently and proactively manage projects with minimal supervision.
