About the Organisation:
Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), popularly known as Pusa Institute is the leading institution for agricultural research, education and extension in the country. The Institute has been doing pioneering work in various fields of agricultural engineering, microbiology, seed science, soil technology and other areas. The Water Technology Centre (WTC) in IARI is an inter-disciplinary facility for research, teaching, training and extension in agricultural water management. The Institute has 8 regional stations across the country.

About the Project

CRISPR/Cas 9 mediated genome editing for improving yield and nutritional quality of Indian oilseed mustard

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Natural Sciences or Agricultural Sciences/ MVsc or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent, selected through the medium of following.
• CSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or
• A selection process through National Level examinations conducted by Central Govt. departments and their agencies and organizations
• Experience in plant molecular biology techniques and plant transformation (preferably in mustard transformation)
• Salary Rs. 31000/- + 27 % HRA OR Rs. 25000/-+27% HRA
