Position Summary

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Rural Women Entrepreneurship Expert to lead our efforts in fostering women-led rural enterprises, primarily through Self-Help Groups (SHGs). The role involves designing impactful livelihood models, strengthening entrepreneurial capacities of women, and developing strong market linkages and buyer networks for SHG products across India.

Key Responsibilities

Program Strategy & Execution

- Develop and implement strategies to promote rural women entrepreneurship through SHGs and community-based enterprises.

- Design and deliver training on enterprise development, product development, business planning, and marketing.

Market Linkages & Product Development

- Establish robust market linkages with institutional buyers, private sector entities, and digital platforms.

- Support branding, packaging, quality control, and pricing strategies for SHG products.

- Facilitate access to government schemes, CSR funds, and microfinance/credit systems.

Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships

- Build partnerships with government bodies, CSR agencies, and NGOs to scale women-led enterprises.

- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders for integrated program delivery.

Capacity Building & Field Support

- Conduct regular field visits to provide technical oversight and build capacities of SHG members.

- Facilitate workshops, learning sessions, and hands-on training for SHG members and field teams.

- Preparing training materials & modules for the SHG members

Monitoring, Evaluation & Documentation

- Monitor program impact, maintain MIS systems, and track key performance indicators.

- Document case studies, success stories, and program outcomes for knowledge sharing and reporting.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Education:

- Master’s/Postgraduate degree in Rural Development, Social Work, Agribusiness, or related fields.

Experience:

- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in promoting SHGs, rural entrepreneurship, or women-led livelihood programs in the development sector.

- Proven track record in establishing market linkages and creating buyer networks at various levels.

Skills:

- Deep understanding of rural value chains and women’s economic empowerment models.

- Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and team-building abilities.

- Proficiency in Hindi, Bengali, and English (spoken and written).

- Demonstrated field-level program development and execution experience.

Reporting Structure

Reports To: General Manager – Livelihoods & Agriculture (or designated senior leadership)

Travel Requirements:Extensive travel across India, especially in the Eastern region, for fieldwork, stakeholder coordination, and partnership building.

Compensation

Annual CTC: Upto ₹7 Lakhs per annum(Fixed)

Additional Benefits: Variable Pay + Commitment Bonus (Compensation will be aligned with experience, qualifications, and current salary)

Reimbursement: Official travel, stay, and logistics as per organizational policy
