About the Organization

Established in 2007, the National Health Systems Resource Centre, a premier Think Tank for MoHFW, is mandated to assist in policy and strategy development in the provision and mobilization of technical assistance to the states and in capacity building for the Ministry of Health.

Job Description/Responsibilities

  • Mentor and provide technical support to the Quality and Patient Safety (QPS) team.
  • Review contemporary literature and programme guidelines, and examine the existing measurement systems (monitoring and evaluation frameworks and checkpoints) under NQAS, Kayakalp, and Patient Safety Tools.
  • Support the division in drafting and implementing other quality improvement initiatives.
  • Assist States/UTs in the implementation of NQAS, Kayakalp, and Patient Safety Tools.
  • Develop resource materials, including manuals, training modules, and guidance documents.
  • Plan and conduct training programmes for States and Union Territories.
  • Analyse key performance and outcome indicators, identify gaps, and develop action plans for improvement.
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned by the Quality and Patient Safety Division, based on programme needs.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

Essential Qualification – (Regular courses only)

  • Possess a MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS degree from a recognized University with
  • Three years MD clinical streams or regular two years full-time Master’s Degree in Hospital/Health Management/ Public Health.
  • 5 Years of post-qualification experience (after PG degree) including three years’ experience of directly supporting quality improvement initiatives such as NQAS/ NABH / JCI in healthcare facilities at district/ state/ national level with tangible results.
  • Preference may be given to those with experience in public healthcare.

Desirable –

  • Applicants having published papers (as main author) in Journals of repute may be given preference.
  • Certified Internal/External NQAS/NABH/NABL Assessors
  • Proficiency in the MS Office package, as well as any computerised data analytical package, is highly desirable.
