About the Fellowship  

The ADB Young Professionals Program is a structured talent management program designed to build on early-career professionals' training and experience, providing a foundation for a challenging and rewarding career in an international development environment. Young Professionals are seen as potential future leaders contributing to ADB's Strategy 2030 goal of building a prosperous, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable Asia and the Pacific.

Program Structure:

• Fixed 3-year term appointment — starts with an initial placement in an operations or operations-support role at ADB HQ in Manila, providing hands-on experience with core operations, policies, and procedures
• Rotational assignment — after 18 months, transitions to a rotational assignment in another area of ADB, aligned with career interests and organizational needs
• Multi-faceted development opportunities — participation in fact-finding missions, policy studies, and project executions; access to a Young Professional mentorship program with experienced international staff (many of whom started as Young Professionals themselves)

Eligibility

• Must be a national of an ADB member country
• Must be 32 years old or below
• Must hold at least a first-level university degree with proven academic track record in a field relevant to the job role
• Must have at least 3 years of work experience relevant to ADB (internships count)
• Passionate and committed to development work
• Keen, agile learner with strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
