The National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) was established in 1998 by a Statute of the State of Andhra Pradesh. Since its inception, the University has been home to vital conversations on law and justice. These conversations have acknowledged that questions of justice arise in all legal pursuits whether in the world of courts, corporations, education or administration. Using law as an instrument of social change the University has supported crusades for land rights, disability empowerment and against moral policing and hate speech. NALSAR is committed to the creation of an ethical legal culture, which protects and promotes the rule of law. Job Description

The Programme and Research Coordinator will be responsible for effective functioning of the Community Engagement and Involvement workstream in NAMASTE across two programme sites, Delhi and Goa. This role will entail working closely with non-specialist workers, parents and caregivers, visual and graphic designers, early childhood development experts and public health researchers.

Post-holders will be provided opportunities for professional development in early career research and leadership building. Post-holders will also be part of Sangath’s Child Development Group (CDG), a research group comprising early childhood development researchers, health workers, social scientists, public engagement specialists to enable capacity development and foster collaboration on high-quality evidence-based research.

Job Responsibilities

• Ideate, develop and execute communications initiatives to create awareness around The Square Circle Clinic’s key areas of research.
• Design social media collaterals, produce multimedia podcasts, and manage The Clinic’s Blog.
• Create and manage an annual calendar of communication needs.
• Maintain The Clinic’s digital presence (social media, website, podcast, blog).
• Track audience data to understand digital growth.
• Identify and coordinate with external collaborators like artists, technicians and journalists.
• Ideate and manage public or private events and drive event outreach.
• Ideate and execute offline communications projects to further the aims of The Clinic.
• Any other work that may be necessary to further the aims of The Square Circle Clinic.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• A Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, law or related field is a mandatory requirement for this role.
• A Masters degree in the abovementioned fields is not a mandatory requirement but will be preferred.
• A minimum of one to two years of professional experience in a similar role.
• Expert proficiency in handling social media platforms.
• Proficiency in using audio-visual editing software and design software like the Adobe Suite.
• Proficiency in proofreading, copywriting and editing skills across contexts.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership, have accountability and work in a collaborative, closely-knit and multi-disciplinary team.
• Experience in handling audio-visual equipment would be an advantage
• Knowledge of HTML and CSS is desirable.
• High proficiency in English and ability to read / write / speak different Indian languages will be an advantage but is not mandatory.
