Basera Samajik Sansthan is a community-based organization with its registered number 914 under Uttar Pradesh NGO Registry ACT. Founded in 2006, Basera Samajik Sansthan is a non-governmental organization operating its intervention in Delhi NCR and Noida
The organization focus on protecting and expanding the rights of LGBTQ Individuals, most notably advocating for Transgender rights, anti-discrimination and hate crimes legislation, Documenting and reporting on Gender Base Violence and HIV AIDS advocacy. Basera Samajik Sansthan strongly believes in supporting LGBTQ people thrive and live with dignity.
Currently Basera Samajik Sansthan is working with UPSACS in Targeted intervention Project(TI)
at G.B Nagar, Noida, UP.
To halt and reverse the prevalence of HIV/AIDS among the MSM,TG,FSW and Migrant population by implementing a comprehensive Targeted Intervention project by providing quality sexual health services with sustainable Behaviour Change Communication activities and creating an enabling environment favourable for such behaviour change in Noida (sites).
Objectives of the programme
- To map and enumerate the Men who have Sex with Men (MSM), Females in Sex work population (FSW), Transgender (TG), and Migrant Population.
- To increase awareness regarding STIs, HIV and AIDS through Behaviour Change Communication (BCC).
- To promote effective usage of condoms and ensure availability and accessibility of the same among the MSM &FSW population.
- To provide early diagnosis, counselling, and treatment for STI and referrals for HIV.
- To build capacity of staff, peer educators, stakeholders, and service providers in implementing strategies and sustaining the programs.
- To create an enabling environment through Advocacy and Networking with stakeholders in the project area
To provide early diagnosis, counselling and treatment for STI and referrals for HIV.
- Intensive Counselling :Provide counselling to the identified HRG with STI/HIV, sexual health problems, and those with high vulnerability will be referred to Doctor for further counseling. Detailed appropriate case-specific counselling such as STI care and treatment, partner notification and treatment, risk assessment and reduction, behaviour change counseling, crisis counselling and couples’ counselling, which would help them scale up HIV testing using new BCC tools to motivate community to undergo HIV testing
- Clinical Service; STI clinical services will be made further accessible to the target population in adherence with guidelines under NACP VI. Continued STI services will be provided to the target population in accordance with (NACO) guidelines on Syndromic Case Management. to attempt and build linkages with government hospitals and health facilities in the project area for provision of STI services and to strengthen the same wherever existing.
- RMC: Doctor will be required to refer the MSM and FSW for the RMC checkup and other STI screening and medication. This will be under the PPP model which will also improve the health seeking behaviour among the community members and sustainable structure to access services.
This appointment is purely on temporary & project based. You will be eligible for increment as per financial guidelines issued UP SACS and Basera Samajik Sansthan based on your performance.
