About the Organization

Key Education Foundation (KEF) is a Bangalore-based, not-for-profit company working to improve the quality of Early Childhood Education (ECE) in India.

KEF is on a mission to empower institutions, educators, and parents to drive systemic transformation in ECE. Our approach includes direct program implementation in schools and Anganwadis, as well as state and district-level government partnerships to strengthen the early years’ ecosystem.

Job Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

  • Collaborate with the leadership team to shape and drive the organisation’s long-term visionband strategy for programs
  • Design strategies, roadmaps, and implementation plans that enable teams to meet programmatic goals across contexts
  • Support teams in planning, tracking, and reviewing program operations and outcomes
  • Build systems and processes enabling scalability within the Program

Program Implementation & Operations

  • Oversee the day-to-day implementation of programs across geographies, ensuring smooth execution and high-quality delivery
  • Build frameworks and tools to monitor progress, ensure quality, and course-correct as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and proactively identify operational risks that could impact program delivery

Finance & Resource Management

  • Lead program budgeting, financial planning, reporting, and resource allocation
  • Ensure optimal utilisation of funds in alignment with program priorities and overall organisational goals
  • Liaise with the finance and leadership teams to monitor spending and assess funding needs

Donor Relations & Reporting:

  • Build strong relationships with existing and potential donors
  • Ensure timely and high-quality reporting, aligned to donor expectations and impact goals
  • Provide inputs to the fundraising team by building proposals and articulating program impact

People Management

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing program team, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning
  • Set clear goals, expectations, and development plans for team members, and provide regular feedback and coaching
  • Facilitate capacity building through training, exposure, and performance support to ensure team members are equipped to meet program objectives
  • Promote an inclusive and supportive work environment that values diversity, well-being, and professional growth

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

  • Graduate or Master’s degree in any discipline
  • Minimum of 6 years of professional experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
  • Experience of working in the not-for-profit sector in India

Salary

12,00,000 - 18,00,000 INR per annum
