Purpose of Job

 

To Play a pivotal role of leading the Program at the district level with an objective to improve comprehensive [primary health care among the tribal population of the Udalguri/Dima Hasao districts of Assam. The Program leader will be entrusted with the responsibility of leading a team of native, young Tribal women, the Karuna fellows, who will be capacitated and would implemental the program and meet program objectives.

Reporting structure

Role directly reports to the Program Manager as per State organogram

 

 

 

Essential Qualifications

  • Master’s /bachelor’s degree holders with relevant experience will be considered

Essential Experience

  • Minimum 2-4 Years’ experience working with youth, Adolescents/Young women
  • Having training and large group facilitation background will be preferable
  • At least 2 years of prior work experience/Fellowship, directly  working with the community or in a similar role in the development sector

  • Excellent communication and presentation Skills
  • Collaborate with diverse group of people including government stakeholders
  • Takes initiative and can stretch oneself
  • Strong verbal & written (English & Hindi) communication skills (Knowledge of any one local language will be an added advantage) and mobilization skills
  • Adaptive learner and flexibility to adapt to new requirements and open to working on short deadlines
  • Excellent presentation skills and command over MS office
  • Documentation skills and able to synthesize required insight
  • Innovative and creative thinking, ability to identify best practices and suggest innovations
  • Ability to hand hold  and  facilitate teams
  • Awareness about the Socio cultural eco system of the applied district
  • Should be willing to travel  extensively
  • Ability to deliver high-quality outputs in limited time

Key Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Track, assess and analyze progress of Karuna fellows in 2-year journey
  • Support in administration of different tools and frameworks to ensure track Karuna fellows learning & development, conduct program and fellowship periodic assessment etc.
  • Ensuring implementation of program as per Program Gantt
  • Facilitation and handhold a group Karuna fellows
  • Record and analyze different sets of data related to Karuna fellowship processes
  • Prepare monthly program and fellowship progress reports
  • Lead both operations as well as KF learning and developing during the tenure of the project
  • Support in fellow’s Induction, Monthly workshops and Boot camps
  • Actively lead and collaborate with THC-KF IRG team for KF’s L&D process
  • On Going capacity building of KFs on public health domain
  • Lead and facilitate Weekly KF Sangha
  • Identification and documentation of KF’s success stories
  • Ensure all community level activities are conducted as per SOPs, quality protocols and project guidelines
  • Preparation of monthly community level activities and visit plan in coordination with Program Team and in consultation with Karuna Fellows
  • Collation of reports to be presented at district and block forums
  • Visit tribal villages/ habitations and conduct meetings within the community of assigned district
  • Support KF to conduct IEC activities related to program deliverables in villages/ panchayats/ hamlets and or any other platform
  • Recording and reporting of project activities and detailed profiling/ mapping of Community Influencers
  • Maintain records of referrals from relevant Community Influencers
  • Prepare Fellow’s Profiling/ Mapping according to their Private Dream, Passion & Purpose
  • Trouble Shooting, conflict management and administrative support to team as and when required
  • Coordinate staff schedules, training, and onboarding
  • Ensure compliances with all policies of organization
  • Any other task assigned based on operational need
