Job Description/Responsibilities

WWF-India is seeking a skilled trainer, educator, and content developer dedicated to delivering high-quality environmental education programs. This professional will be responsible for designing and developing engaging educational resources and facilitating training sessions that build environmental awareness and practical skills among students and teachers.

Training & Facilitation:

  • Plan and deliver interactive workshops and capacity-building sessions for educators, students, and youth/ citizens across digital and on-ground platforms. 
  • Customize lesson/session plans for diverse age groups, learning needs, and contexts.
  • Facilitate group discussions, hands-on activities, and inquiry-based learning.

Educational Content Development

  • Design, write, and edit scientifically rigorous and accessible education material in multiple formats (lesson plans, modules, articles, reports, and newsletters) aligned with national curricula and WWF program priorities
  • Collaborate with subject experts and feedback reviewers to enhance the quality and impact of resources.
  • Incorporate real-world examples, gamification, and action-oriented approaches for meaningful engagement.

Monitoring, Feedback & Reporting

  • Gather and analyse feedback from workshops, training, and pilot sessions to measure outcomes and improve program delivery
  • Document success stories, key learnings, and case studies for continual innovation
  • Submit detailed workshop/training reports for program tracking and donor communications

Capacity Building & Professional Development

  • Organize and facilitate upskilling sessions for educators, eco-club leads, and volunteers (pedagogy, digital tools, sustainability topics)
  • Stay current with best practices and trends in environmental education, digital learning, and youth engagement
  • Work across programmatic teams, consultants and partners to ensure delivery. 

Team Management

  • Build and mentor high performing team delivering high-quality content and training for the division

What to expect:

  • Occasional travel to schools or event venues

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience.

  • Post-graduate degree in environmental science / wildlife biology / life sciences or any other relevant scientific discipline from a reputed university with a Bachelors in Education (B.Ed).
  • 7-9 years of experience in curriculum and content development designing and delivering training sessions for educators, students and youth.
  • Excellent written and spoken English with strong writing and editing skills
  • Basic understanding of the environment and sustainability with the ability to translate scientific concepts into accessible educational content.
  • Familiarity with formal school curricula (CBSE, ICSE, IB) and experience in training will be an advantage.
