Position Overview
The Nurse will be responsible for providing direct patient care, supporting doctors during consultations, maintaining records, administering medication and vaccinations, and educating patients on basic health and hygiene practices.
Core Responsibilities (70%)
1. Clinical Care and Support
- Conduct patient triage, take vitals, and assist with basic diagnostics
- Administer prescribed medication, injections, and vaccinations
- Support doctors during patient consultations and minor procedures ( if required)
- Provide nursing care for patients with chronic and acute conditions.
2. Health Education and Counselling
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, treatment adherence, hygiene, and nutrition.
- Provide support during community outreach health camps or health days.
3. Record-Keeping and Coordination
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and registers through HMIS and registers.
- Coordinate with pharmacists and lab technicians for efficient service deliver
- Support in Patient Registration and community Mobilisation as and when required.
Other Responsibilities (30%)
- Ensure infection control protocols and cleanliness on the camp site.
- Stock-check and request nursing supplies and consumables as needed
- Participate in staff meetings, health trainings, and reviews.
- Refer patients to higher facilities in case of complications, as advised
Eligibility
- Educational Qualification: GNM or B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institute; registration with relevant council/association
- Experience- 1-2 years of experience of working with rural population with limited resources.
- Compassionate, disciplined, and committed to patient-centric care
- Knowledge of Health Application and Basic computer is desirable.
- Ability to work independently in rural or low-resource settings
- Proficient in local language; basic English documentation preferred. knowledge of local languages like Nepali is mandatory, Bengali would be an advantage.
