- Partnerships approach to draw additional resources, a vast pool of diverse expertise, and innovations to tackle a social sector problem at scale.
- Platform approach to influence systemic transformation through an alliance of partners for "scalable learning" by leveraging a pool of diverse resources to address a single problem with speed.
Project Background-
Aspirational Bharat Collaborative: It is an initiative that aims to transform and support the creation of a developed Bharat by 2047. The programme currently works across 27 states and 150 + districts, that form part of the poorest and most deprived geographies of our country.
Key Responsibilities-
I. Presales - Support in Fundraising Activities
- Actively identify and pursue business development opportunities in line with organization’s plans.
- Develop well-articulated comprehensive business proposals including – Concept note, budgets, presentations, proposals, etc.
- Liase with operations / programmatic teams for articulating the program strategy, outcomes, budgets, staffing etc.
II. Sales – Deal closure activities
- Ensure completion of due diligence as per the donor’s requirements and documentation – MoU and ancillary agreements with Legal and Compliance teams.
- Ensure fund transfers are completed as per the agreed timelines.
- Work with operations team to mobilise resources and teams to operationalise the program.
III. Post Sales
- Review, strategize and execute programs strategy to exceed donor expectations w.r.t delivery of program outcomes.
- Ensuring fund utilisation is in line with the budgets in the proposal, with support from Finance team and Operations.
- Actively solve day-to-day queries/problems of the donors
- Deliver quality and timely updates, both financial and programmatic details
- Monthly / Quarterly reports and calls
- Annual reports and update calls
- Closure reports and audits
IV. Others
- Enhance scope of partnership with active funders by communicating the evolving organizational vision which aligns with the donor’s strategic interests.
- Conduct field/programmatic visits to track project progress and for donor visits – Prepping, planning, conducting the visits.
- Implement a governance system to map/track financial and programmatic progress.
Desirable Qualification & Experience
Essential:
- Post Graduation in any stream, preferably with exposure to commerce / maths / economics.
- 1 – 5 years of experience of working in any sector or familiarity with CSR
Skills And Knowledge
Written communication
- Originate and write proposals for donors and new fund raise opportunities
- Prepare high-quality presentations and reports for donors and management
- Timely and proactive communication to the donors and internal stakeholders
Analytical skills
- Proficiency in MS-Office (power point, word, excel ) required.
- Prepare, review & analyse budgets and costs for programs with Finance team
- Review, analyse and present MLE reports
Oral communication
- Clear & Timely communication with both donors
- Collaboration with multiple internal stakeholders (Operations, MLE, Finance etc)
- Facilitate orientation sessions for cross functional groups for new program launches
Others
- Relationship building, Ability to work in high-ambiguity and Quick turnaround
- Willingness to travel to field to launch programs, for field visits, donor visits etc
- Structured thinking and attention to details
Work Condition and Environment
The work environment is flexible but is also intensive and demanding. It entails original thinking, finding solutions with cross functional teams, engagement with multiple stakeholders – internal and external - across all levels, with quick turn-around times.
